This is, God willing, going to come about in 2012. We will be upfront in asking for support now, because we're going to need as much as we can get.

What we're about: We are starting a taco stand. Sounds like another load of junk, right? Well, we will be developing a menu that mixes classical French cuisine with Southwestern and TexMex. My apologies to Mr. Escoffier. Anyway, we'll be selling tacos from a converted school bus (running on used vegetable oil) as we travel from Poughkeepsie, New York, to Seattle, Washington, and down the west coast. As we go, we will be sharing the gospel, and when our customers' generosity and our supplies permit, giving out free (healthy) tacos to people that cannot afford them. Why? Because Jesus tells His followers to feed His sheep.

Who we are: A couple of oddballs in love with Jesus Christ wanting to share His love (and tacos!) whenever and wherever we can.

This is Anne. She grew up in Austin, Texas, and is now in Poughkeepsie, New York finishing up a culinary associates degree. She grew out of her desire to open a restaurant and is now looking to serve the LORD in whatever ways (preferably uncharted and whimsical as possible) she can.

This is Sheryl. She is from the boonies of west Texas. She is working on a master's degree in forestry at Texas A&M university (Whoop!). She loves spreading joy, mayhem, and the gospel at every possible opportunity.

What we need: Honestly, we're counting on God to provide just about everything. Just about, meaning, everything He hasn't already provided. We're hoping He'll work through you.
We need a full size school bus, a reach-in cooler and freezer, a stainless steel kitchen table, portable burners, a blender, a generator, a propane tank, and a diesel to vegetable oil conversion kit. I guess more than all of that we need contacts across the country. See, we're well aware of the danger of two women traveling alone, and we'd love to get to know families everywhere we stop on this trip. Also, we need to know what kind of tacos, sides, or anything else you would most like to see on the menu. Send us your name, location, and a classic taco you love and we'll see what we can do with it. Email us at agape.tacos@yahoo.com.

OH!! above any of these things, we want to ask you for your prayers. We would really love for this dream to become a reality, as long as it is God's will for us. Pray for us for wisdom, organization and planning, financial needs, and for the strength to serve Him in all circumstances. Thank you so much, and we're praying for you as well. If you need prayer, please, please, please contact us. Thank you so much, take care, and God bless. Tell your family and friends about Agape Tacos!!
